“Linda Hannawalt, the one and only inspiring person does it again! Ah, the quilts, the artist, and the dedicated Kiwanian. Buy them, hang them up, spread them around and enjoy looking at them. You will not want to let go of Linda’s “hugging quilts.”

Dear Aunt Linda - My Mother’s Quilting Teacher

I want to thank you very much for the beautiful quilt Mother brought back. It almost took my breath away. I was moved not just by its beauty alone, but tremendously impressed by your boundless generosity and kind selfless efforts and endless patience to instill the love of quilting to the elderly. Now I understand fully why I failed every time trying to persuade Mother to prolong her stay with me saying that she would hate to miss your class. She has no doubt learned a lot of the art from you. She loves your great ideas, and enjoys helping with your projects. I feel glad and grateful to you that she has such an opportunity to enjoy life at her age.

A million thanks again for the elegant quilt. May God blessyou always!

Sincerely,

Milly

Dear Mrs. Hamawalt,

Hearty greetings from Molly's son Teddy and daughter-in-law Julia in Shanghai. We were delighted to have Milly come home with Mother this time. On top of that, we were thrilled to receive the glamorous quilt that you had instructed and helped Mother finish for us. The design and colors blend so well, that the quilt is a soothing to the eye and takes our breath away. We've already put it to use. We can hardly describe the comfort and warmth to the heart. But we know well that we owe much to you. Mother's broad smile every time she mentions you shows us how greatly she appreciates your tutelage.

We thank you from the bottom of our heart not just for the quilt, but also for the pleasure in life you are giving Mother at her age. May God always bless you for your tremendous kindness!

Respectfully and gratefully yours,

Teddy and Julia
